The Merkur HD 34C is a high quality double edge two piece razor. Made in Solingen, Germany, this razor sports an extra thick handle with great gripping surface. Chrome finished, it appeals to the eye and is stainless. Merkur is a name well known in high quality shaving products. This razor is almost identical to Merkur's original safety razor which is well known and has a strong track record in great performance.
The double edge blade offer a close and comfortable shave. Replacement blades allow continued use of the razor. Unlike the original Merkur razor, the thicker handle and double edge razor offer an increase in performance. While a bit more hefty, the 3" handle allows a 'just right' grip and with a weight of around 2.5 ounces the razor has a great balance and also allows for easy use. The design of this razor is great and shows in that the weight does all the work for you.
